In search of new headlights

Hello everyone,

My wife has a 2003 Rav4 with stock headlights. Even after cleaning them, the brightness of said headlights aren’t really satisfactory.

Can you guys recommend some aftermarket LED headlights or perhaps an LED conversion kit?

Thank you so much.

Over here, HID, LED after market lights are not road legal so chech it does not affect you.

If your lens is clear and not weathered, I deffinitely recomment philips xtrem vision 110 or 130+ or osram night breaker 110%. both halogen light

they would make a big difference to your light

Auxbeam LED bulbs have worked well in my Rav4. You may need to adjust the height of headlights after install. Also as others have mentioned the legality may vary depending on area.

Thanks, if I ordered either of these bulbs would I need any specific model of bulb to fit. If so do you know which model number?

I am currently using these bulbs and they have a great light output pattern. They can be found on Amazon:

"Auxbeam LED Headlight Bulbs NF-S1 Series LED Headlights with 2 Pcs of H4 9003 HB2 P43T PHILIPS CSP LED Headlight Conversion Kit 50W 8000lm 6000K Hi-Lo Beam"

I'm currently working on trying to make the lighting safer in our 04 Rav4. But it's hard to really decide between halogen, HID, or LED. I'm assuming HID is going to get to hot for the housing and LED is still kinda new that I am not sold on them yet.

HID lights produce a tremendous amount of heat and tent to melt through the headlight housings over time. That is one of the reasons I opted for LED bulbs.

I did Amazon replacements recently. Standard style bulbs, and other than having to pull the entire front bumper cover off, things went well. Not too expensive, and visibility is way better now.
