Check the adjustment on the stop light switch. As I recall there are two sets of contacts, one NO for the brake lights and one NC for the cruise.
Once I had a similar stop light code that befuddled me until I found I'd forgot the reconnect the ground on my taillight converter.

Thanks Dr. Dyno. I rechecked the ground on my trailer taillight converter and scratched the contacts on the stop light switch and tried different height adjustments for the stop switch as well. That didn't solve the problem so I ended up disconnecting the trailer tail light converter and that fixed the problem! Yay finally. Thanks for pointing out the tail light converter. Much appreciated. I will have to recheck the wiring for the converter.

I installed mine inside and below the plastic cover in the left rear corner just ahead of the 12V outlet.
