Thanks to all for the replies and information! My first reply post was deleted/unapproved(?), but the gist is I'll be opening my search window to 2009-2012 models.

As for @JuneBug remarks on the 4WD system, I am still weighing the pros and cons of purchasing with the 4WD. I've had a few occasions where I parked my Accord on dirt/sand and after some rain, had a bit of trouble leaving the lot. (Once, I actually had a 4Runner winch me out.) I'd definitely feel comfortable paying more, risking more points of failure, and being weighed down by 120 more pounds for the 4WD. I'll actually be relocating to Melbourne for my first job out of college--small world, @Dr. Dyno --and there is a "recreational" area where a lot of locals go mudding/drifting/shenanigans and 4WD would give some additional confidence if I visit The Compound. I also often find myself using the ol' lead foot from a stoplight, so I can only imagine the help that 4WD would provide--especially in rain.

Gotta watch using that "lead foot" from stoplights - the V6 throttle system already is somewhat hair trigger and using more runs to risk of crashing one's RAV4 into the rear of any vehicle in front of it - or launching inadvertently into the next county .. .
