I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but you could try these:

I have the Ed Hardy Cover, it's a perfect fit for my 2001, its tight and it adds some thickness to the wheel but not too much, but its pretty worn now (it lasted two years). I plan to buy the leather one to replace the Ed Hardy one (It looks better and has good reviews) but since I don't have it yet I cant comment on the fit.

That leather cover looks nice Stephen, but one review says it's too small for a Maxima, while other reviews say it's too big for a 2011 Civic and just right for a 2003 Civic. How do you know it will fit properly on the RAV4?

Hello and thank for the topic post. I have a Wheelskins for my 2008 RAV4 and it works great and I deemed worthy of the cost considering that it fits very well, has little to no slide or give, and is wearing well. I would not recommend spending any money installing the skin as you can do it yourself easily. Plus, the company will send you replacement thread and needles upon request. Best of luck on your purchase.

@James,that's the thing about buying steering wheel covers without trying it on, you can't be guaranteed a perfect fit. But a reviewer said that it fit his corolla and I have a friend with an ed hardy cover like I have on his corolla so that gave me some more confidence to buy it. I'm only worried that it might be too big, (Rav4 s/wheel is on the small side) but then it isn't terribly expensive and if it doesn't fit then I could give it to a friend. - Sorry i forgot to include that in my original post.

i tried different covers from Autozone/Kragen/Walmart and all of them were not even snug (leave aside being tight).

@stephen.t : have you already purchased the leather cover (from your linky) for your 01 Rav4? i might ping the seller and ask him.

If anyone has other ideas, do post.

Wheel cover

I know this may sound funny to some, but to save $ I bought the one from Walmart and then bought weather stripping door foam(type with adhesive one one side) the one inch thick color to match wheel. Then peel back taping to expose the adhesive and stuff it into your wheel cover and then put over your steering wheel. It will fit like a glove. Works for me, and if you worry about movement then buy the double sided foam.
