Thank you to everyone who chirped in. After considering your suggestions and a little research I’m going with a resonator delete and the Dynomax ultra flo welded muffler. It came in yesterday and I’ll be getting it installed this morning.

Very interesting! Thanks for posting the video, it was quite helpful. Sorry I didnít get back to you on your question, I didnít get a notification you had quoted me. Itís a moot point now, but it was just the drone at highway speed, based on gearing. Acoustics is not my area of expertise but something about the harmonics of the exhaust and the frequency of the pulses didnít work well with the Flowmaster 40 and 50 series, likely including the wall thickness of the mufflers too. If youíre able (and have an assistant) any chance you can get a recording of driving at 35 and 65 mph from inside? Iíd like a little more snarl, but mine us also the freeway cruiser which we will use for cross-country drives. Want to be more certain I can live with the changed noise. How do you find it yourself?

This recording doesn’t really do it justice. I tried a video on drive home from work first but didn’t catch much of the exhaust tone. While it’s fairly loud inside, the exhaust tone seems to decease to increased engine volume at higher rpms

Here’s a not so good recording I did of drive home interior sound. In video I drive city speed with stop and go traffic lights, highway speed, downhill coast, uphill drive and heavy on throttle.

And this video of exterior sound by someone else is the one that encouraged my purchase

Technically it’s not really cosmetic. If you mean my TRD oil cap, then yeah absolutely correct 😝

To each his own. I do realize that a recording does not represent the sound you hear in person. Having said that this one sounds like a Honda Fanboy trying to make his four banger sound like it actually has some go power. If it suits you then it is okay.
