Hi all.. I need to change bank one sensor 2 on my 2010 RAV4 4cylinder

Have you ever done that without lifting the car ? I mean do I really have to get under it to complete the job ? Not well equipped to reach that place.

Dealer asks 400$ for a new one, tx included

Stupid car...

thanks..

I changed the rear O2 on my wife's 2010 I4 RAV4 on the driveway last summer for a recurring code P0137. I'm not little (5' 10" 245#) and I was able to squeeze under the passenger side and replace the sensor. Use Pblaster or other good penetrating oil to help the sensor come out.

Check your local parts store for a Denso sensor. This is the company that makes the sensor for Toyota. Your RAV4 has a possibility of two downstream oxygen sensors depending on where it was built. (Japan or USA)

I found the part number at Find My Part | DENSO Auto Parts

234-4556 for USA built and 234-4622 for Japan built. You will have to check your VIN to determine where it was built.

My wife's 2010 RAV4 was built in Canada, so USA might mean Canada.

These sensors are available on ebay

Again, Denso makes the sensor for Toyota, and the dealer has to get their cut so that is why it is so expensive.

This is it right ?
You said that you have a RAV4 4Cylinder. I think the picture you provided is for a 6 cylinder engine since the I4 only has a single bank.

I think this thread (click here) might be of some use.

You should be able to reach it without lifting the vehicle (depending on how much poutine you enjoy), but it would be a lot easier if you could drive up on a pair of ramps.
