I replaced the interior lights (map x 2, vanity x 2 and rear cargo) with LEDs I bought for $13.25 from Amazon and they look great

Purchase:
SiriusLED Extremely Bright 3030 Chipset LED Bulbs for Car Interior Dome Map Door Courtesy License Plate Lights Compact Wedge T10 168 194 2825 Xenon White Pack of 10 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0186P1MUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_aJhwDbCBMGKFA

I bought an LED for the dome light (3175) but I can’t for the life of me get it to stay in and I put the old light back in.

My last two Camry Hybrids had equally miserable lights in the trunk. I swapped then out right away for a small matrix of LED bulbs that were SO much better. I wonder if I could do something similar and not have it look tacky. (You can't see the Camry trunk bulb so looks didn't matter.)

Woah. The whole ceiling unit comes out? Glad I stopped prying at the clear covers...

Same! I bought a 31mm festoon led light, which theoretically should fit. But the OEM ones have "pinched" ends which effectively made them a tad smaller. Wondering if you experienced the same?

Same. The flat ends of the OEM bulb go in easy and stay in place. The pointed third party ones do not. I gave up after 30 minutes of trying to get the third party LED bulb installed and reinstalled the OEM one.

I wasn’t able to find any third party LED bulbs with a similar flat end.

I had the same issue (wondering how others got it to work), even ordered two of the bulbs that separate folks reported as having worked for them. What I did (proceed at your own risk), was use a small flat file to shape the tips to look like the OEM. Warning, while this worked, the "cone angle" on all of the replacements I looked at was wider than the OEM, so it still wasn't perfect. The OEM bulb lives in my glovebox in the event my modification shortens the LED bulb life.

You have to MacGyver the replacement LED dome lights in place. Took me 2 bulbs to get it done. Unfortunately, the one I bought isn’t much brighter the the OEM bulb. Good thing I don’t ride in the back.

Yo man! I've been wanting to swap LED's ever since I got my car. How did you pull down the front map light console? I've tried using plastic pry tools pulling down at the corners, but there's not enough give, it starts to bend the headliner. Any video or tips to pull that console down?

I watched this video, then went and did it. It takes a lot of force to get the thing out, more than I would’ve ever thought. When it finally popped out,I thought for sure I’d broken it. Everything was fine.

I had a 17 prius that needed the 28mm festoon bulb, as did my wife's 17 rav4 hybrid, if you google "28mm blue led Festoon Bulbs" you'll find 6 packs, I just found a Festoon bulb set up on a spring with wires coming off that light up a 48 led array with a sticky back, I'm hooking two into the rear map light, well, I put one white one in and have ordered blue, the white is quite a difference, but the other lamps are blue and, I missed on the color of the festoon bulb.
It's a neat kit, it's got adapters to all sorts of 12v devices that all wire up the led panel.

Hunting for a blue stick with 24 bulbs for the rear hatch area, it's available in white.

The spring festoon gizmo slipped right into place, on the second try, it seems stable, the 48 x 2 array will be interesting.
