Fluid Change Intervals and Maintenance items?

How often are fluids and filters to be changed?
I can't seem to find a schedule?
CVT fluid for the electric to ICE interface?
I hate the computer based recalls on some other cars.
16k for oil give me a break.
I have and keep my own won't go over 5k on oil and filters.
The electric motors on these have a coolant to anybody get
into changing that or no what the interval is ?
Battery Cooling Fluid is there any how often does it need to be changed?

I'm not seeing it spelled out clearly for anything other than oil and oil filter. All the W&M guide gives is instruction to inspect certain items and nothing about intervals to change them. At 15k, 30k, 45k, etc., it says:

"Inspect sealed transmissions, transfer cases and differentials for signs of leakage. If any leakage from a sealed component is suspected, it is recommended that you have the sealed component inspected by a Toyota dealer. Inspect power steering fluid (if equipped) and brake fluid level/condition. Inspect engine and inverter (if equipped) coolant level/condition freezing point. Your dealer may recommend services (Dealer-Recommended Maintenance) based on inspection results."

So, when should we change the brake fluid? When should we consider changing the CVT fluid? Etc...

CVT fluid may be a lifetime deal. Not sure as I’ve never considered that any more than I have changing automatic transmission fluid in a <5 yr old car.

Brake fluid then? Seems like something that should have a defined time to change. VW and MINI were clear in their manuals when you're supposed to change certain things. This is my first Toyota and it's shockingly vague...

:unsure: Hmm, don’t know. I used to have a ‘05 Corvette that shared clutch/brake fluid. I did that by the way it looked. Sucked it out with a large syringe, poured in new and pumped clutch 10 times and looked again. I’ve never really worried about my Toyota’s.

Motor oil 10k
Antifreeze 50k
CVT lifetime
Brake fluid?
Air cooled battery
Blinker Fluid as needed ?

Find the maintenance log that came with your new vehicle and read all the way through the various mileage intervals. It's not vague at all.

Brake fluid change interval is often not specced by manufacturers. Every 3 years is a good rule of thumb.

Overall, changing fluids more frequently than recommended will only serve to lighten your wallet and add more waste to the world. Enjoy your new low maintenance vehicle.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture which under hard use (coming down a mountain) can cause a boiling which causes a loss of brake pressure. Moisture can damage very expensive brake components over time, that is an important one. Every race, every two years, every major service (30,60,90k miles) is what I use.

You need to read the maintenance log in the guide, inverter coolant change is at 100k. There is no battery coolant, it's air cooled, the intake vents are cleaned at regular intervals though.

Come on, man. I obviously have and read the W&M Guide...some stuff we're talking about is not in there. I challenge you to show me where it says to change brake fluid. Or the power steering fluid.

The coolant is listed to first be changed at 100k miles or 10 years?!? That seems ludicrous...
