2020 XLE, or “active” as they are called in the nordics, hybrid Japanese manuf.
20000 km at the current at slightly below MPG (Sorry for the metrics). No issues whatsoever, and I’m normally very picky. I forced my reseller to install new stability programming but that wasn’t causing any issues. No issues with rattles from mirrors, tank issues or leaks from roof railings.

5k miles on my R4P, no big issues or any of the roof leaks some have seen. I have noticed there are some morning that my car seems or shake a bit when starting up or my brakes vibrate/squeak loudly on startup or first press but not enough to detract me away from the car.

ok so I thought of something Minor, when the car isn’t fully warmed up, it surges somewhat on the freeway (if you go straight on after startup)....an annoyances but it goes away once it’s warm...

Are they still doing it? If it wasn't done with mine how would I get it done?

Mention it to the dealer, they do a test and almost all of the '19s flunk so then they order the parts kit (or have the kit on hand) and replace the tank and sensor and re-calibrate. By now most dealers know about the issue. At first we knew more than they did but it has been ~5 months now.

My first fill-up will be tomorrow, I'll know then if it needs the fix, or (possibly) the previous owner had it done.

My 2019 XSE has 15,000 miles and only problem was the fuel tank. Wife had the 2020 XSE same problem with fuel tank and the JBL Amp went haywire made loud noise. Toyota replaced it under warranty. Also replaced the fuel tank.

FWIW before I got the tank replaced, I'd run the pump on slow speed until it stopped, and then round up to the next tenth of a gallon. The fuel gauge needle was always below the full mark. With the new tank, the needle now almost always is slightly above the full mark.

Filled up last night, with 51 mile to empty I put in a little over 12 gallons, needle was just a tad over full when I finished. I'm guessing, from what I've read here, that either mine was not affected or the prior owner had it fixed.

Just curious how many miles everyone has and if you've had problems during that time.
Me---New owner, 278 miles, 5 days no concerns as of yet but so far I love it. It rides like my old Highlander and has pretty good "get up and go". Averaging 33.8 MPG in mixed driving but I do drive on the HWY around 80-85 MPH.
2019 XSE gas tank problem. Toyota headquarters called and said take to dealership they said they couldn’t do anything. Toyota said if they come up w remedy they would notify me.
No notification.

Mileage depends on how you drive. The most MPG for a Rav4 Hybrid seems to be 69 miles per hour and less. I have 18K with no issues. I do not drive over 70 so I get anywhere from 41.8-43.5 MPG (in Florida). Expect less MPG in colder environments where the engine is used to help heat the car in winter. The first thing thru options to reset the Fuel MPG meter to zero out every time you fill up helps you understand what certain driving conditions cause. Generally change to ECO use Sport fro passing or getting out in traffic lots or giddy-up and change back to eco mode after. Fast starts are an EPG killer as is changing speeds up and down, constant running at the same RPM's results in better MPG's in my humble opinion and results.

‘19 model year Limited, 13,000 miles. Gas tank fix applied. I removed that crazy backup sound, installed backlit driver door switches, and put LED lighting wherever I could. No problems or issues. MPG just slightly better than advertised. Would definitely buy again.

HI
I have 40k miles on my 2020 XSE Hybrid and we have had no issues with it besides the gas tank problem. It has been replaced and it working well now. There was also recalled a-arms that have been replaced. But as a whole, so far so good. I am also a hwy driver and I'm averaging 35 mpg.

Only 6000 miles in 19 months. I've worked from home much of the past year, my wife rides her bike much of the year and we haven't been able to travel much. The only problem that we had was this past February. We had -20 F temperatures for a few weeks and I did drive 20 miles into work and had it parked outside while at work. On my way home a Hybrid System Malfunction light came on, I could drive no faster than 35 mph with the gas pedal to the floor and on the default screen there were no arrows going between the wheels, engine and battery. I pulled over in a small town 5 miles out from work and had it towed. I was told it was a frozen throttle valve, or something similar.

Next time you take it in refer to T-SB-109-20 and CSP-20TE04

2019 hybrid Limited... 17k. Perfect in all respects. 37mpg depending on terrain (hills vs flat). Great purchase, so I got the wife a 2021 Rav4 Prime XSE

oh, I did have the gas tank problem fixed earlier this year for free, no hassle there.

2020 Rav4 XLE Hybrid. Just at about 5000 miles. Bought it last summer (August 2020) and I'm retired and I don't do anything but pleasure driving and routine errands, equal highway and city. No problems at all so far. Averaging 40+ MPG, usually about 42. No big disappointments, pretty much all good. The only thing I would ask Toyota to improve is reduction of the amount of wind noise on the highway. Not that it's bad, just I guess it could be much less with some attention to the issue.
