Hello all where we getting shift cables from first generation manual transmission. Local parts store says dealer part only local dealership wants 350usd for the pair. Ebay has a set with correct toyota part numbers for 50 bones worth a try or???
Dammit, I was trying to be funny.Actually I have heard of people getting custom made wires from some bike ships. Its the same cable really, material wise.
Unfortunately the mass majority of the time these cables break internally. So you wouldn't have two pieces per say.But if the cables aren't broken in two, then you might just have bad bushings, so perhaps check that first.
This listing on the US Ebay has the part numbers for ya.

I believe its stretched and the bushings are toast for sureUnfortunately the mass majority of the time these cables break internally. So you wouldn't have two pieces per say.
Best way to tell is have someone shift through the gears while you observe the shift fork. If it doesn't fully move, its most likely the cable. If it's loose without shifting its the bushing.
