With our XSE we find the Michelin CrossClimate 2’s to be very quiet. The superbly better handling is well worth it.
Could not agree more. The grip is phenomenal and more responsive. However, IMHO these tires do not seem to roll as freely as OEM Hankook Kinergy GT tires (Camry Hybrid). I was getting consistent 48MPG before the tire change, but now getting about 44-46MPG. Safety is more important than 2-4MPG drop.

In March 2020 put a set of Michelin Cross Climates on my 2014 Honda Pilot.... and about 3000km later, sold the car when my Rav4P arrived in April 2021.

I didn't see any comments about Consumer Reports; they were VERY impressed by the Cross Climates, to the point that they thought in many areas they made winter tires superfluous.

I just ordered a set from Costco. They have a Michelin promotion to get $110 off right now. Tires are $170 each, $80 for installation and $10 for TPMS. Costco has been e-mailing out an online coupon for $100 off $500, and tires are eligible. My total with taxes came out to $600 for a full set with installation. They'll be installed first week of May.

A couple more upgrades and I'll be done with this car. Getting the OEM hitch + wiring harness and a level 2 EVSE are the final things to do.

That is a screaming deal for the CrossClimate 2’s. Good for you.
Thanks. I wanted to share along with others. After hearing the good reviews from you guys, these have been on a wishlist. Good tires matter.

If you're a Costco member and haven't received the coupon, requesting from online chat is hit or miss. Took me two tries to get a rep that would give me a code.

I happened to check at my local Costco to see if they could order some. Much to my surprise, they actually had them in stock. (They were not even listed in the Costco website.) Although I got the last 4 of the correct size. I got the same price except on the sensors- I paid $45.89 each.

any tips on what to ask for here? I searched my email and didn't get the coupon. Does it have a name?

I went to costco.com, clicked Contact Us -> Online Chat -> Costco Online -> Other questions. Gave them my name and e-mail, then had an entering question mentioning the promotion, saying I haven't received a coupon and if I was eligible. One rep denied me a coupon, said it's random selection and wait for an e-mail. I tried again and the second rep asked for my membership ID, then gave me a coupon.

Persistency wins and pays.

Was the discount for the pressure sensors? I got the same price on the tires, the sales guy told me that they were on sale.

The breakdown on the was $170 per tire, $20 per installation, $2.50 per TPMS. Michelin has a $110 off rebate when you spend $600+ on tires, and the Costco coupon takes $100 off $500. That's $192.50 x 4 = $770 - $110 rebate - $100 coupon = $560 + $40 taxes = $600 total my cost.

Thanks for the breakdown DuncanMcDonuts. You got a screaming deal on the TPMS. You've clearly got more wit, charm and good looks than I have.

I'm considering getting these, but I have the impression that when Michelin markets these as "The Smart Choice For All Climates", MN winters are not included in "All Climates." I don't drive that much in the winter and I'd like to avoid switching tires with the seasons, though. If you live(d) in MN, would you get these tires?

I was driving from MSP to DCA today and found out just how good these CC2s are. They have great wet traction. I saw a MB GL350 doing an unintentional doughnut on I-76 from Pittsburgh to Breezywood during a torrential rain. CC2s are perfect choice for rain. IMHO heavy rain is just as bad as ice or snow. People drive just too fast thinking hydroplaning isn’t a big deal. Physics don’t lie.

I grew up in northern MN and now live in AK. I bought the tires for winter use as well as for a longer shoulder season. Based on the reviews I read, they sounds like an excellent winter and year round tire.

Lol - I went to costco support and there is a big banner on the top:
"If you are inquiring about Costco's promotional offer "Exclusive Code: Get $100 OFF An Order of $500 or More on Costco.com", this offer was sent to 'select' members registered on Costco.com. This offer will not be extended to additional recipients. If you are currently not registered to receive Costco.com marketing emails, we encourage you to sign-up in efforts to be considered for future opportunities for us to pass along savings. Thank you for your online business."

39 MPG with CrossClimate 2’s on 1,793 mile road trip. The linked thread provides the details on how the mileage was calculated, but is also linked here to reassure all who are fearful that the CC 2’s will screw up your highway mileage, as shown in the link, that “ain’t so.”

Nice! I'll add some data in the near future as well. Did you go H or V speed rating? I decided to give the H-rated a try. 130 mph speed rating is more than enough for me, saved a few bucks and possibly slightly better ride comfort as a tradeoff for slightly reduced handling due to possibly less stiff sidewalls on H rated.
