I have the V6 2012...and the CEL came up and the code is P0102 ... i when on Youtube and DIY show how to check the MAF Sensor voltage on the car wiring side..... So is what i did and the video saying i suppose to have 12 vdc on the red wire when the key is ON but no engine running....and i have only 5 VDC....Can someone verify the voltage of is MAF sensor wiring side...at the plug.... The RED wire and negative pole with a multimeter Please....because i have no clue of what going on and a new MAF sensor is very expensive...and what to be sure that my MAF sensor is the problem or if it's wiring....Thanks...

Just looked at my wiring diagram. I do not have a red wire, but I have a green/red wire on pin 2

Pin outs are as follows

Pin 1 - Pink THA - thermal signal
Pin 2 - Green/red - E2 earth (I think)
Pin 3 - Black - B+ (I know, that is confusing)
Pin 4 - Light Green - E2G (earth)
Pin 5 - Grey - Air volume signal

To my mind (and assuming my diag is correct), you should get 12v at pin 3

Pin 1 and Pin 5 are the 5v reference circuit and you should get between 0 and 5v according to air temp (pin 1) and air volume (pin 5). Pin 5 should give you around 1v at idle and 4.9v at full RPM if the MAF is working.

I will look at code set criteria and get back to you

Thank you....

i checked the data stream with my OBD2 and i have zero reading on my screen...( all dashes )
so...
i bought a new MAF sensor PN: 222040H010 on Amazon yesterday....delivery should be 3-4 weeks.
Hope this will solve my problem and i do not have a wiring problem....
Now my Rav4 V6 take the full gaz tank to make about 100km or 65 miles...(n):devilish:(n)

You have the 4 cyl. ??? and me the V6 maybe the wiring is not the same...

Hello BigPhil555 .../ EveryBody.... i just replaced the MAF sensor ( bought on Amazon ) and the problem is still there.... I disconnect the battery and joinned the two logs together to drain any current in the car and ECU.... reconnect the batterie after 5 hrs....and still check engine ON , 4wd , Trac Off....etc...

I read that doing a Gooooood...ride to make the ECU recognize the new part may solve the problem....( my last solution...)

Any suggestions....????

Thank You....

That is a pain for you. Have you pulled the same code again? Just worth checking.

As far as I know, MAF are normally plug and play. Yes I agree you may need to run the engine for a while to relearn the new settings. The ECU may still be running the old settings - do the above and let us know

Ok...i did 32 km and still the same code ...plus all the 4 Oxygen sensors low voltage....probably induce by the engine running rought....

i will bring the Rav4 to a Shop Mecanic tomorow moorning....because i need my car and now the car is not reliable....really not....:oops::eek:

and come back for the diagnostic.....or repair solution. Maybe the ECU need an Upgrade...?

i feel your pain. A well maintained car as you say, should look after you. Thanks for the confirmation on harness, filter etc.

I would start looking for vacuum leaks or clogged lines,PCV issues somewhere, which is not much help I know!!!! Other points, but I do not think it is these at the moment, could be clogged cats, or a faulty ECM.

As you say, you have looked at the basic stuff, and I guess it is shop time.

Let us know how you get on.

Hello BigPhil555 and Everyones...

i went to Toyota Dealer last Friday...to get my car fixed.
i checked all my fuses under the hood but i missed ONE... 🤔🤤😲 ...the one related to the EFI that give the signal to the MAF sensor....(my mistake) Cost me $110 Cand. for 1 hr troubleshooting ( it's the minimum charge ) but now i know what's the Problem....
So i replaced the 10A fuse and the Rav is running great again....

I do have a Brand New MAF sensor for sell now...lolololololol.....

Thank You for your support...and good advises

Best Regards

So they charged you $110 to tell you a fuse is blown and they couldn't change it for you?
