Hi, has anyone had any success in a bluetooth OBD2 adaptor on their 2001 car with a 1AZFE engine? If so, what brand?
I purchased one on eBay but it will not connect to the ECU. However, it works find with another car (2015 Lexus). I couldn't get any help from the app developer, other than telling me that I have a really bad ELM327 adaptor.

Some of them are finiky. I'm using the Veepeak obd scanner and works great using the app called obd fusion.

Thanks 2003Rav4Lover !
My ELM327 adaptor is obviously a clone and a bad one at that. I just want to get some suggestions from the group so I don't waste more money buying badly cloned ELM327 which don't work, unless I buy a genuine one, of course.

No problem! I love my obd tool. Here's the exact one I have:

Just a note, it's for Android, not iphone.
