I just noticed today that my Toyota app has a feature for asking Siri to start, stop, lock, and unlock my RAV4. I tried it and it seems to work. Is this a new feature or have I just been overlooking it?

You can also to it with any of the Alexa devices. It asks for the PIN number that you set up in the skill before competing the action.
I’m also on 1.1.16 and just set it up to lock and start our vehicle through Siri. Tried the lock command and it worked. I’m on iOS 15, latest beta. Car is 10 miles away.
For Apple devices only, don’t forget you can work-around the door lock/unlock loss-of-feature by performing a long press on the Toyota app icon and select desired function. Note: I could not get long-touch on Toyota app -> vehicle start to work (doors locked and unlocked) on 1.1.16, but I can be flaky so keep trying. Remote start (big start button in Toyota app) works (w doors locked) and can still start the R4Prime (no ICE-on, I’ve tried), but the Set Temp toggle select does not turn off Temp Set function and my R4P was blasting max cold air (making a racket) until I opened a door to shut it down.
I will pay for anyone that can show me how to remote start my R4Prime (as is) AND get the ICE to start up to help heat in the winter.

I'm on the same and the lock worked but the unlock didn't. It seems a little flaky. Siri says it can't unlock my car but if I just use the elect buttons from the long press on the iPhone or the Apple iWatch they work. I also tried to rename the Siri shortcuts that was a no go went back to the original phrase and they worked.
i just checked on my app and i dont have a siri shortcut option either

I have same app version but I have 14.7.1 iOS on my iPhone. Siri shortcuts are in "My Garage" and are working.
That's interesting it should show right under Vehicle Specs I am using iOS 15 beta wife is still on 14.7 and her's shows the Siri shortcuts for her RAV4 just like mine. We are both using the latest Toyota app from the Apple App store. Have you made sure that your RAV4 VIN is registered on the App? The Toyota App version is 1.1.16 updated 5 days ago. Do you also have Remote Connect active? Click under Vehicle Capabilities and see if it shows Remote Connect

I have been using the Toyota app for almost a year with my R4Prime and I’m not seeing that option after checking for updates (but I was already up to date). Everything is working, but I do not have that option.

This is from your iPad? Do you think an iPhone would make a difference? I don't have an iPad and I don't keep track of how similar they are to the iPhone.
I think you're right about this unfortunately. Mt R4P garage list looks just like yours
