I have a 2015 Rav4 LE and want to bleed my brake system. I've never done it this way before. I would just empty the brake fluid out of the master cylinder and fill it with new fluid. What diameter hose would I need to fit over the bleeder valve? I would secure the hose with a zip tie at the valve. Thanks

I did this a couple months ago and posted pics in this thread.

I use the ”real” gravity bleed method: Open the bleeder a quarter turn and simply let gravity do it’s thing, about half hour on each. Once the fluid has crept up the tube about 6” you can pump the brakes and slowly release, as shown in the video above, if you want to speed it along.
1 qt of Prestone DOT 3 from Walmart is more than enough.
I made the gravity bleed bottle from an old plastic OJ bottle, a few feet of 1/4” id clear vinyl tubing, and a couple of zip ties.
Remember to keep the bottle and tubing above the bleeder and you shouldn’t have any issues with air bubbles.

Start with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder. That wheel is going to take the longest due to distance from the master cylinder. Bleeding brakes is one of the very reasons I bought a large air compressor. I can do a wheel in about 30 seconds. I don't think that tool I have pictured would work well with just any air compressor. It uses a lot of air. Also if you spill any on your paint, make sure to rinse it off with water. If left over time it will bubble your paint. It won't happen immediately, but if left without rinsing off it will.
