Just received this in the mail. I ordered it from a company out in Canada. Paint matches exactly to my car's color. I'll let you guys know how the install goes. Got to wait for the temps to come down a bit. Anybody do a similar antenna conversion like this? Would a 4.4-4.5 gen shark antenna work in a 4.3?

I've done this but I grabbed mine off eBay. I ended up removing the 3M tape and used black JB Weld silicone to make it more permanent. It's held up great since 2018, considering how much rain and snow we get. I didn't notice a loss in radio signal (although, I rarely use the radio). Definitely recommend it to anyone interested in getting one. Car's in the shop right now so here's a picture from last week.

Strictly for radio. I listen to the radio a lot while driving.

Guys, I have a change of plan on my shark fin antenna conversion project. I ordered from ebay an oem subaru shark fin antenna instead of going with one of those stick on knockoffs. It looks like the one in the link below. I also purchased a a subaru feeder line/extension cord to go with it. However, today when I took apart my roof liner, it has 3 plugs (blue square, grey square, small grey) on my oem antenna. Can you help me to identify all 3 of them? The Subaru only utilizes the small grey plug but unfortunately the feeder cord that I bought only has the female side and I need the male side.

I only need the am/fm plug for the radio...don't need xm/sirius/navigation/gps or any of that stuff. My car did come with jbl and xm satellite radio but no navigation. Do you know of a cord extension that I can run from the shark fin antenna to the small grey plug on the side? Pics are below of what I found when I took the roof liner off and the shark fin antenna that I bought. Thanks
