Can anyone who has the prime XSE confirm if there’s an option to show the speedometer digitally on the gauge right in front of the steering wheel? Any chance for a quick photo? Thanks everyone!
Yes. It's documented in the Owner's Manual (P. 161).Can anyone who has the prime XSE confirm if there’s an option to show the speedometer digitally on the gauge right in front of the steering wheel? Any chance for a quick photo? Thanks everyone!

how would you describe the visual quality of that heads up display? One of the reviews I saw included a comment that it seem to be a little bit out of focus. If you have an XSE with the Premium Package then you'll get a digital speedo on the HUD, too. Just sayin'...
I turned the HUD off. It is blurry to me. We have a BMW X3 with a heads up and it is crystal clear. So, I can't figure out if it's the angle of the windshield, my correction (glasses), or something else. I've seen others state it is crystal clear. For me, it gave me a headache to use it. Oh well, still love the car.how would you describe the visual quality of that heads up display? One of the reviews I saw included a comment that it seem to be a little bit out of focus.
I have not yet purchased a RAV4 Prime, am in the final stages of deciding exactly what I want. Thanks again!
While some people have had blurriness issues with the HUD like @Sties, I am not one of them. Mine is crystal clear. Similar to @Paul0001, one accommodation I've made is not wearing polarized sunglasses when driving because it makes the HUD look dim. In my non-scientific experiment Maui Jim sunglasses make the HUD look dimmer than Oakley polarized lenses, perhaps that's because MJ has better polarized lenses? BTW - yes I'm aware that all MJ lenses are polarized.how would you describe the visual quality of that heads up display? i like that advice to go with a fully loaded XSE! Thanks!!While some people have had blurriness issues with the HUD like @Sties, I am not one of them. Mine is crystal clear. My experience parallels @chuckh007 in that I rarely look at the regular instrument cluster. I actually feel safer because I'm not looking down and taking my eyes off the road while driving. @ReverendRides I recommend going with a fully loaded XSE, you can thank me/us later!
Our HUD is clear, and as long as I am focusing on the road, I can read it well, and enjoy its subtle reminders that I am going faster than the posted speed limit. However, when I go to use the digital rear-view mirror, it is hard to use as I have to change my focus to up-close. My HUD is clear, and with the brightness turned up all the way I can see it pretty well even with sunglasses. But, turned up like that, it has to be turned down at night. However, after a couple of days using it and trying hard to like it I turned it off. Just too distracting and unnecessary. I do have my regular center Speedo set for digital, which makes it very easy to read without losing much road attention. I may try the HUD again for certain uses, as a friend claims it’s great for turn by turn on a gps route. Agree that the digital rear view mirror is problematic as I too have to change focus to use it. Again, I’m not using it anymore except if and when the back window view is blocked by people and/or luggage. Then it will be worth the focus change. IMO, not all the “cool” devices fit everyone’s needs, even if we have them to use.Our HUD is clear, and as long as I am focusing on the road, I can read it well, and enjoy its subtle reminders that I am going faster than the posted speed limit. +1 on the HUD. No blurriness here. I wear non polarized progressives. This was exactly the case for me as well. Can't see without my glasses either, and I initially found that I couldn't really focus on the digital mirror. But the issue completely disappeared after a couple of days of use. I use it exclusively now. Not sure if it matters, but I'm nearsighted. On the digital mirror. I hated it at first. (And even wrote about it here). But I forced myself to use it, and now LOVE it. The wider field of view covers the blind spots. I don’t think it’s a physical focus issue as much as training your brain that a screen is there instead of a mirror. It didn’t take long but it was VERY distracting at first.
