Hi all, first post here and upcoming Rav4 owner. I've never owned a Toyota and am about to snag one that is also a hybrid (a first as well). I'm really torn between the XLE and XLE Premium. I'm really disappointed the JBL speakers aren't offered on the XLE Audio package but hey, the premium is nicer for a reason. My question is for those of you who have the JBL package, is it worth it? I drive about 65 miles round trip monday-friday and heavily listen to music and podcasts. The other benefits of the package are nice too like the parking assist and digital rear view mirror but not a must.

Thanks in advance!

The JBL system came with my 19 Adventure and personally I don't think it's worth it. It's not that it sounds bad. It's not that it doesn't get loud. It's the premium you're paying and what you're getting with it along with a couple other oddities. Find one that has the system in it and see if you like it. What sounds "good" is subjective to the individual. I ended up replacing all of the speakers inside of my Rav with the exception of the rears and am much more pleased with it.

Do you have your vehicle yet? My '21 XLE Premium Hybrid has the JBL system, and it was worth it to me - a definite improvement over the base audio (I had the salesman bring up one of each so I could go back & forth to compare). A better sounding aftermarket system could probably be installed for less $$, but getting the JBL was hassle-free, and I wanted the Premium anyway for the Softex seats. The JBL system in my 2012 Prius seems better, but the RAV4 is good enough - it could use more high end, but that may just be my old ears.

I just got the 2022 TRD with premium JBL audio (previously had an XLE 2020 long story) so I can relate.

just for the 9'' screen it's worth it, the 7'' screen in my old rav was feeling like 2012... other than that, I can feel it's better than the old one but not OMFG so much better. The bass is seriously lacking for a car with a sub. The range of highs is pretty neat and stay clean even at near max levels (corded on apple music and spotify audio quality)
