I did oil change on my 2017 Rav4 Limited at 30,000 mi. I replaced the oil filter housing because I wanted to be on fresh new part there. The cartridge media is fresh, new. Two o Ring seals replaced as came with the filter media. I could see set in the seals I removed so putting new ones is important. Keeping an eye on your car is the first line of defense. See something, have it looked at. That keeps small matters from becoming big matters.

just came back from the dealership for same issue.... i discovered oil leak on the garage (smell)... they said the "plug" was defected and have replaced it for me, hope it is resolved... as it is hard for me to check these days, since my garage still have the smell... the weather still bad... the garage still wet..... and they didn't compensate me for anything... maybe a free car wash count....

Who changed the oil last? Someone either forgot to torque it correctly or less likely the torque ring was not replaced.

Put a piece of newspaper under to see if droplets fall on it. You may have to put something on the paper to keep breeze from moving it. Also could use an animal pee pad.
Use a flat piece of cardboard box or some flat, grey egg cartons. They are heavy enough so they won't blow away and will show any oil drips and keep your floor clean.
