But of course. The industry will milk all of this for as long as possible.
I'm beginning to wonder how much of the "chip shortage" and "supply chain issues" are fabricated at this point in time. You can bet automakers and dealers will take advantage of people as much and long as possible.

I have a '21 R4P with ventilated seats and adaptive headlights but I lose out on the better LCD instrument cluster, all LED interior lights, etc.

Damn, so, does this also mean no heated seating? Because, if so, that freaking blows. The heated seating is amazing, and makes a huge difference in winter. I would never buy another car without ventilated / heated seating and steering wheel.

I do have the "Sweaty, fake leather" vented seats. Do I think they are better than the cloth ones? No. But in my climate and for my usage, I do prefer them. I go kayaking, hunting, hiking with my R4P. I sometimes get in it with a wet ass from kayaking or rain, or muddy from hunting or hiking. I find the leather seats much easier to clean/maintain. Everything is a compromise. There are a few days in the summer that the seats are very hot, but it does not take long to cool down. On a long trip, the vented seats enable me to be comfortable and not have to cool the cabin as low. I would still buy the R4P without the vented seats but for me, it is a nice to have, not a must have. I really did wish for another interior colour option than black.

The Heated option is separate from the vented option and should not be affected by the removal of venting option.

Be happy. I have an XSE without ventilated seats. The center of the seats are either cloth or webbed SofTex (I can't tell). The heated seats work fine in the winter. The A/C works fine in the summer.

I've the same XSE with fake leather seats and I exit the car with a sweaty back all summer long in upstate NY. Would of preferred heated cloth seats, but the fake leather ones are way easier to keep clean.

Do you consider the ventilated seat an essential option?
Hi Marcos.
I can't imagine how ventilated seats could do much of anything just think about it--you need to have your skin well away from the seat to have moisture evaporate much. They probably help some, but really are you going to base which car you buy on this feature? Heated seats are a different matter as it's conducting heat directly to your butt and back. You might try something like this for summer if you have an issue with a sweaty butt:

I've driven dozens of recent model media vehicles, almost always loaded. Seat heaters and ventilation/cooling vary a lot. Some actively cool almost the entire surface. The R4P system is one of the weakest I've encountered. Better than unventilated black pleather for sure but not competitive with some other systems. They are not cooled direct by the A/C system like some other vehicles that can really conduct the heat away from you and precool the seats as well. They are only ventilated, presumably for efficiency, and they do not turn on with the app, at least they didn't before my trial ended. They blow cabin temp air, so you can't run just seat ventilators on a hot day with the windows down and expect them to keep it cool like you can on some other vehicles. Plus, it only blows air at the thighs and mid back, not at your butt or lower back. It's OK if you have the windows up and A/C on. If you leave off eco drive and climate modes, the ventilator fan will blow a little faster at max speed as per manual. The seat heaters are equally weak. Max setting is about the same as the lowest setting on our Honda Insight, for example. Still nice in the winter but they can take a very long time to manage luke warm when it's really cold.

Cloth seats vary widely, too. Depends a lot on the material, weave and color. Our Highlander Hybrid fabric was pretty good. I've been in other vehicles that are no better than perforated pleather. Niro comes to mind offhand.
