Looks good

Did you do it yourself? What is the durability on something like that?

They have a network of shops that are affiliated with them. It’s a wrap that’s peelable that’s sprayed on. I chose the cheap version ($950) which they immediately try to upsell you from, to the $2300 version. Guy told me the latter is scratch and gas spill resistant, while mine is not.

The job isn’t perfect at all. There is a big hair smack center of the hood. Other imperfections. Top of windshield, on the rubber that holds the windshield in place, an inch long bubble that started to peel right away on the first day.
Texted the guy asking what I should do about it, no reply. Guy also texted me before I picked it up that it should be like $200 more he “had to” come in at 6 am because it was so much work. So, unprofessional guys is all. I won’t recommend them. I cut and peeled off the entire width of the rubber on top of windshield. I don’t think that should have been sprayed in the first place. No problem since.

Have a parking damage in back bumper to. Of course happened literally on day one. Tiny.

so I wouldn’t say it’s super durable but you step back 6 feet and the thing looks perfect. Been getting a lot of compliments from random strangers, just yesterday a lady in Texas asked me what kind of car that was, I could tell she loved it, she said she wanted to upgrade from her late model Highlander and I had to tell her that would actually be a downgrade from her car, which was parked right next to mine. Lol

other day in Cali young very pretty woman said that’s the most beautiful color she’s ever seen on a car. Happens quite a bit, which is a first for me after three years of driving this bland white average grocery getter. I think the color and the matte black larger wheels plus of course the nitto ridge grapplers plus the spacers plus the lift plus the better suspension make all that possible.

The car doesn’t dip in corners any more, much stiffer every time on freeways or roads where there are bumps most cars swing or sway several times and mine has only one brief hiccup- is more like a little race car. Despite the lift. Same with starting our stopping at lights. Less squatting and diving. The bilsteins are a real worthwhile investment. They make me feel like I have a higher end vehicle. And makes me smile every single day.

now I’m back to wanting a 100 extra horsepowers. So yeah I get it. It’ll never end.

had it detailed in texas and forgot to tell the lady to not do the outside other than with soap -- many bubbles and coming off around doors, lots of white holes now etc - hurts the vanity. she first admitted it, then denied it 10 minutes later and accused me of trying to rip her off when i simply asked if she has insurance for such things. she was squeeling! oh well, i tried. not her fault - but denying that these things occurred as a result of what she did, EVEN if i acknowledge it was my fault - is not cool. oh well, not everyone has a degree in philosophy like me, meaning not that i am better but that i am always willing to look at a situation from all angles.

the guy who did it isnt returning my texts. he is in oxnard, CA in case any of you ever do this. i would not recommend them. i'd offer a 100 bucks for spending 20 minutes patching this up, literally with a finger not even spraying. so the next time i will do the more expensive wrap. may do a nice matte brown next.

just wanted to say this, i have bilsteins and a 2" in front, 1" in back lift. the car now, with the right tires, handles like a sports car. this is what really elevated the car from an average grocery getter to being really fun every day. on the freeway, when there is a dip, and all cars bounce three times, even expensive ones, mine does one short mini-bounce and that's it. it's very satisfying.

cheers everyone.

What are the right tires, for you?
ok well, there is no such thing of course. right tire for the right kind of circumstances i meant. the nitto ridge grapplers 255/55/18 are tougher, harder than the falken wildpeak 225/65/17. way louder too. i used to think off road tires are softer so they can grab the dirt better, but at least in my case, they are not. even though they are only 4 ply.

prior to switching back to the wildpeaks a week ago, the nittos would give the aforementioned effect, super tight, handling like a sports car. again, keep in mind, lift kit, bilsteins, and 1 inch spacers. wider, harder. now with the wildpeaks i am back to normal driving, still stiffer suspension since i have that, but soft. thankfully, much quieter. but they dont stick out anymore, which for a boring RAV4 felt nice to me. i felt like a badass RAV4, which is a contradiction in terms.

biggest surprise is that my gas mileage went up by only 1 mpg by switching to the peaks. i will switch back asap. again, it's my $25K way of feeling like a $45K car. i'd invest in road tires, 255s maybe 45 or 55s since most of my driving is on regular roads, i might as well. but for trips and the occasional offroad camping, i am in love with the nittos. and they wont cost any extra since i already have them. so, there.

thanks for asking.

Summer tires?
Yes, cheap(ish) tires, Landsail LS588 SUV in 255/55/18

Tread patch is nice and wide on my 18x9 wheels, around 10.5'' Overall performance of the tires is quite good. Having run ATs for the last 4 years, these tires grip under accelleration and cornering, ride quiet, handle firm and well even at high speeds. No visible wear after 5k miles. Rain performance excellent.

Time will tell, I don't want to take way from this thread. However I was fed up with sacrificing ride comfort and quality for a rugged look on a car that will never truly look rugged anyway.
