Has anyone ever removed the side mirror cover, the part on the side rear view mirror that's painted to match the car? The clear coat on mine has peeled a bit, and since I'm doing some clear coat restoration on other parts of the car, I'd like to do it at the same time. It looks like it would just pop off if I wedge a table knife under the edge, but I never trust that there isn't a hidden screw holding it on somewhere...

Hi Jonathan. Similar problem here. Were you able to just pop off that cover and replace it? Or was it more complicated than that? Thanks, Mike
I believe you just pop it off from the bottom. It's been a minute since I swapped out my mirrors for heated one off a junker, but there is no screw holding it on. Just be gentle.
