Does it work with usb connection? Is there any upgrade i can make?
I think that there are ways to do it wirelessly but I do not know the specifics.

One thing to be aware of is that some cables do not handle the wired connection. I thought that my 2022 XLE's Android was broken until I tried a different cable. I think I was using a cable meant only for charging and it was missing the data wires.

If AA is anything like CarPlay, the Projection button will change once you plug in your phone. Otherwise, there is no way of knowing until you plug in a phone.

The 2019, like mine, only has CarPlay so I can only assume it works about the same.

All 22 has android auto. Like above it is not wireless. The plug is in the front cubby hole and not the plug in the arm rest.
This is true for North America RAV4's but he has a different flag showing so he's outside NA

I believe the best way to determine if the car supports Android Auto is to check the projection settings. This is also where you need to enable Android Auto.

I have bought a new toyota rav4 2022
I was trying to find android auto but it seems it's not there.how to know if my toyota support android auto?
Plug your phone into USB dash only in front of charging pad . Go to menu and there it should be. Rest is pretty self explanatory.

I just tried to use a cable that can transfer data and it worked it seems that android auto works only with cable at my car
This is what is expected. Have to admit, that whole area on the Rav4 is very clunky- need to plug in a cable but a phone sits crooked, etc.

By the way, welcome. Nice to see a flag other than US and Canada!

I bought my RAV4 2022 in August. Android Auto (with phone plugged in) just began working YESTERDAY. I know there was a major upgrade to the app by Google recently and I assume it finally hit my phone - and thus my RAV4. And, as mentioned before, you need the correct cable.

Not a special cable, but you do need to ensure that the cable supports both power and data. There are cables that are wired only for power. These power only cables are nice for security when using public USB charge ports, but will obviously not work for AA.
