I took delivery of my new '23 Hybrid RAV4 SE in March (and I love it!)
I noticed that the remote connect service has a free trial of 1 year but I believe I read somewhere (don't remember where) that Toyota now includes a 10-year trial.
How do I lengthen the trial from 1 year (currently expires in March '24) to 10 years?
Thanks!

I have not read or heard of a 10 year free trial. I have received my invitation to start paying next month on my 2022.
I think the 10-year trial applies to '23 cars. That being said, the service connect trial only lasted for 1 month and since I'm using Apple Airplay with Google Maps/Waze and phone calls, I have no need for that.

In Australia new Toyota's come with 10 years of free connected services ( all of them ).
I wrote a post about it a few years back can't find it now but,
Yes in Australia they get 10 years of all services for free and in North America we get 12 months.

Everything I see on toyota.com.au shows that it is only complimentary from 1-3 years

Things might have changed but back in 2020 when i wrote my original post regarding this issue it was 10 years.
Below is copied directly from the Toyota Australia's website back in 2020

Owners can review their vehicle's Connected Services within the Toyota app or by clicking here. They may also refer to the Owner's Manual.

10-year trial on certain 2020 model year and newer Toyota vehicles

3-year trial on certain 2018 through 2020 Toyota vehicles

*trial period is at no extra cost and begins on the original date of purchase or lease of eligible new vehicles. After the trial period expires, enrollment in a paid subscription is required to access the service. Terms of Use for the subscription service agreement apply.

What trial length is in Australia is irrelevant, US Remote Connnect trial has always been 1 year or less since it began in MY2018, MY2019 for the Rav4, when it was only 6 months.

We all have to be aware that different markets have different policies. Not all of us know what policies are represented by what flags.

I have a pre owned 21 XSE hybrid
How would I go about getting a subscription for connected services
Since I’m not the original owner
Join Toyota Owners, register the vehicle by VIN.

Thank you @juniorkirk . I guess I was mistaken. Anyone know how much the Remote Connect will cost when the 1-year trial is up?
Hello , i spoke to Toyota and they are not offering a separate remote subscription. It is bundled with either the service connect or safety connect both at $15 a month which includes remote connect. If you want to get all three remote service and safety connected to $25 a month extra on top of what we already over paid for our Rav 4. Is it really worth it? Still trying to decide.

Remote, safety and service connect can all feel like one decision because of how its all pitched to you at once. but remote connect is much more preferential imo! Having the ability to control many aspects of your car from your phone is pretty dope tbf! but safety connect is a service that could literally save your and your loved ones lives! There are plenty of compelling accounts of skeptical buyers, unsure if the extra service is worth it. Only to soon after get into very serious accidents, find themselves relying on the service and then thanking their stars that they had it when they needed it. Emphasize "safety"

If you never NEED to use the service, you're lucky
