I have a 2018 LE AWD and my headlight bulbs keep burning out quickly. Just had two bulbs on the right side crap out in three days!

The only reason I can think of is that I'm in Orlando, FL, and for the past week the temp. has been around a high of 98F during the day when I'm driving and I do turn them on when I'm on the interstate. The brand of bulb I've been using is a Sylvania 9012 "XtraVision" halogen. I bought a couple of the cheaper Sylvania "Basic" brand bulbs to see if they last longer. I should probably try a different brand altogether, right?

Obviously, I can't tolerate replacing a bulb every three days. Any ideas what's causing these bulbs to burn out so quickly? Can't believe it's the high temps. since they should be designed for all climates, including places like Phoenix which normally hits 115-120F in the summer. Should I get LED replacements and do they tolerate high temps better?
Did you find any solution for the burnt headlamp halogn bulbs?

I ran into one 2018 Rav 4 hybrid today with the same issue. Spent about an hour and found the problem. The trouble is a bad DRL running light module which send an unstable voltage to both headlight circuit with headlight switch in off position.(voltage switching from 14.6 volt to 10.5v constantly-----causing the bulb to fail prematurely. The solution is either replacing the running light module or leave the headlamp switch on all the time.( When headlamp is at the on position, voltage supply to bulbs is steady at 14.6v.) Hope this help!

I have been scouring the internet looking for any assistance on this same issue. I have a non hybrid 2018 Rav4 that I've owned for 2 years and this is the 3rd time the headlights went out on me. I do not touch the bulbs when changing them, I always wear gloves as well. I took my vehicle in for an oil change yesterday and was told $150 to diagnose the issue, despite having a bumper to bumper warranty on it and clearly there's an issue. Especially since at my last oil change in December, I lodged a complaint for the same exact thing. I was told at that time there were no recalls and that for the price of $100, they could change the bulbs. No thanks, I can spend $50 and do it myself.

go to oreillys and have them free test the alt and battery.
if the battery is over 4 years old it could be getting close to end of life...

also check real close the alternator...
you could have a bad diode that is leaking AC voltage...
if the running at idle voltage is over 14.5 then the alternator is suspect and i would remove it for testing.

i like with the headlights on and air conditioner on at idle 13.8-14.2 volts.
but no lower than 12.5 volts testing at the battery.

Will do! Thank you!

have you thought to convert over to led? i did that on the 4.1 rav. love them for sure! baseball diamond bright when on high beam.
We have had the same issue with our 2018 RAV4. In December last year I bought the AUXITO 9012 HIR2 LED headlights, just last week one of the bulbs has gone bad. This will be our 4th set of bulbs for this car since buying it in 2020. I was hopeful that the LED bulbs would last longer then the standard bulbs. Definitely like how the LED bulbs project the light. We run with the headlights in "auto" mode so they are on all the time, maybe that is the issue but we honestly don't drive the car that much overall.

We have been driving without the daytime lights on as I saw there have been issues with DLR module. Super frustrating issue.

Agree that it is super frustrating, especially at $50 or so per set of bulbs.
I think it was Auto Zone I went to last time and was talking to them about this. They offer a warranty on headlights which I quickly said yes to. I got the one year for like $8 so when they go out again, I can just return the burnt out bulb and get a new one.
