Popping this old message to new....

My 2022 Prime SE has the new style of TPMS sensors,
They are rubber vs my 2019 metal sensors.
They are two piece vs one piece metal...

Heard that from the "car care nut guy"

Anyone know the part numbers or Amazon links for the new sensors...

I "heard" they dont need Techstream programming, just install and drive....
Not sure though...

Thanks
that would be 42607-02050, btw how do you get TPMS when you are in Canada?
edit: ah, nail it you are not in Canada, no way you get a blue SE if you are in Canada as there is only white silver black available for canada

FYI as of 2023 the canadian model has tpms as well
I disagree. Just got my Canadian 2023 XSE with tech a couple months ago and popped a tire bead to have a look at the valve before I got snow tires put onto separate rims in case I needed to order some TPMS valves.
Definitely no TPMS on the stock tires, nor is there anywhere in the menu system to view tire pressure as there is with US RAV4 prime.
Dealer confirmed when asked that there is no TPMS on Canadian models.
They said there is some kind of monitoring so if there is a low tire it will be detected - likely some kind of monitoring of relative tire rotations.

some info on my 2022 rav4 hybrid LE

if you use toyota part number TPMS senders for the VIN

you can use infinite wheels or wheelsets, it will just learn what you
have on all 4 corners and know 'these are my 4 tpms

when in [change wheel] mode, it will listen to any sensor it can detect, and if it
detects 4 of them 'over time', and they remain the same 4 for a long enough
time....it will lock onto those 4. there is no concept of storing 2 sets of sensors
unless you use aftermarkets and have to program them in.

fwiw for my VIN the specific tpms is OEM part 42607-0C091 315mhz

no need for a scan tool, just set in dashboard [change wheel] and it
will now listen for 4 TPMS sensors indefinitely until it does detect
4 of them and they stay within range for some amount of driving
time, then it locks onto them.

another warning: never, ever use fix a flat. despite what a can of fix a flat
says (doesn't harm tpms sensors) it is not about clogging the tpms sensor,
it is about moisture. fix-a-flat has water in it, and immediately water will
get inside your tpms sensor and it cannot be wiped out. you can use fix a flat and
right away go to a tire shop and have tire dismounted, all the fix a flat wiped
and cleaned off, but there is moisture inside your tpms sensor now and
eventually it will kill it.

here is a toyota tpms sensor that was in a wheel that had fix-a-flat for 2 days,
then tire was removed and properly cleaned, nail patched, and reinstalled.

this sensor was fine but died 5 weeks afterward due to fix-a-flat

All TPMS sensors I have seen had sealent/ rezin poured inside.
EDIT: On last friday I was @Dealer with my tpms sensors. It will only look for these sensors what are written in ecu. In ecu can be written 2 sets of tpms sensors (10 in total 4+4 "active" sets +1+1 spare wheel). Car (I have 2022 EU model) will not recognize "random" tpms sensors. But from these 10 sensors it detects (learn) what are in use!

In the US, the hybrids and Prime do not have a full size spare, thus there is no TPMS in the donut spare. But is the system capable of storing 10 sensor IDs as you state?

I am confused with whether Canadian RAV4 XSE tech package has or has not come with TPMS.
Got my 2024 XSE tech package. Toyota app stated TPMS N/A. But my memory (may be wrong) when I ordered it, there should have TPMS.

I doubt 2024 would introduce TPMS in Canada when it hasn't been present in any other previous year.
As I said, my recent Canadian 2023 XSE tech package definitely has no TPMS monitoring.
I really wish this wasn't true, I think it helps safety to be able to know that your tires are inflated properly, too many nails and screws around contruction sites in the city.
We'll see if the "passive" tire monitoring comes up with any alerts for low tires in the future, or maybe I will get curious and let some air out of a tire and drive around a bit to see what happens.

Interesting.
I should ask Don Valley North Toyota to quote me. See what they are going to say.
I would save my money. Unless you imported your Rav4 from the US, putting in TPMS sensors in a Canadian Rav4 is just buying very expensive valve stems.

Please read the reports from many Canadian owners who confirm TPMS is not available in Canadian Rav4 Primes.

For the guys up North, I have used these last year with Great Results!!!

Guess I’ll add my experience. I have a 21 RAV4 hybrid and purchased a tirerack wheel & snow tire package in Nov. 21. The sensors I got are Pacific 315MHZ part S169 1230, cost $42 USD each. These did not program “automatically” by just driving around. I had to have the Toyota Tech program the ID #s into the ECU as a second set of sensor. Since then on every tire change over I have used the “Change Wheel” function to change over to the other sensors. You have to drive around for a half hour or so sometimes, but it works.
