Hi, when I purchased my 2024 RAV4 Prime my tire pressure is 53 psi. The door jamb I.D. says tire pressure should be 35 psi?

Thank you.Reduce the pressure to 35 psi. When cars are shipped, the tires are over inflated to minimize flat spots. Your dealer should have adjusted the pressure prior to delivery. This exact thing happened to my neighbor. He complained to the dealer and was given an apology plus two free oil change certificates.
I wonder what a predelivery tech makes? I bet my 16 YO could be WAY more attentive to stuff like that.
Maybe....
FYI: There is a pre-delivery service (PDS) procedure that all Toyota dealers are required to perform (see T-SB-0056-20 for the 2021 RAV4 PDS procedure). It requires checking the tire pressure and initializing the TPMS, which also includes changing the tire pressure compensation settings in cold weather, if needed. So why am I paying a prep charge on a new vehicle purchase???
same thing on my 2017 rav4, but NO apology, and happened on every visit after that. makes you wonder? but what to do when there's not another dealer for almost 100 miles.Same thing happened with me on my 24 Adventure.. no free oil change but they said they were sorry and glad the tires didn’t blow lol.
my '24 R4P also came with the tires way over-inflated - so much for the new car prep... i complained and got nothing but 'we'll have the Serice Manager call you back' - and never did... no free oil changes for me but that's ok because if they can't even get the tire pressure correct - I'm certainly not going to trust them changing my oil... Sadly this makes you wonder what more important services they're messing up! years ago I used to work for Mercedes Benz, you wouldn't believe what they used to tell us what to do, and how to do it, pertaining to scheduled maintenance. I worked there only a short time. I had a problem living with myself.Unfortunately this is normal, I don’t think I ever picked up a car that didn’t have the tires over inflated. Two weeks ago I picked up an Integra (the RAV4 is my wife’s car), yup, the tires were at 40 psi.
