2024 R4 Hybrid tacometer rpm

Hello all, I am new to the hybrid instrument panel and configuration.

I am used to seeing some kind of tachometer in most cars giving me the engine RPM.

I just cannot find it through the menus if there is one to put up on the display.

Can anybody chime in on this one, I don't see anything in the manual. I'm guessing not but I figured I would ask.

True there is no tach in the hybrid, but I wouldn't say it is irrelevant, just not as useful as a car with a normal transmission.

It shows gas engine RPM and a many other things as well. One of the best things with knowing the RPM is when the gas engine is actually running.

Yes absolutely RPMs are essential if you're a person that likes to listen to your ice. I use manual shifting, and I would like to see RPMs.
I I often downshift on freeway on-ramps especially going uphill to bring up the RPMs. Thanks for the link

Hybrids don't shift. its a eCVT. I think it has a +/- slap stick...but what does that do in comparison to flooring it given eCVT functionality? IE does the TPS input get simulated in a '-' to crank up the revs?

I use the EcoPage in the MIDI to see which color arrow is going on to help me know what is going on.

TPS? The computer can do a simulation of gear shifting, the S-mode on the shift lever will display the simulated gear on the instrument panel. The eCVT can change the gear ratio between the ICE and the wheels by varying the speed of MG1. I'm amazed at the wide gear ratio possibilities although I have never seen what the numbers are.

When you see the EV symbol in your dash, that means the engine is off. If you don't see the EV, then the ICE is on.

This is not a Big deal. I use The + and -shifting method at times.

The engine does drop a ratio and RPMs do come up. I am no stranger to CVT or ecvt methods of shifting. Subaru is very functional with their paddle shifting system. RAV4 using the slapstick plus and minus is similar.

If you listen to the engine and that's only what I'm only talking about.. You can hear the rpm variations.

That is why I was asking why RAV4 does not have any type of tachometer. The engine does rev High If pushed through the gears manually..
My old Subaru was like driving a stick shift with a CVT transmission, turn off the anti-lock braking system and shift manually. It was great in the dirt. The RAV4 can do the same thing if these features are used.
So that's all I'm asking was if there was a RPM feature.

I got my answer. There is not one on this car.
