I have a 2023 RAV4 XLE AWD and was looking to fit folding mirrors on it. I found CT home sell the mirrors-

I ordered them and received them but the problem is my local Toyota dealership will not fit them saying it will void the warranty.
Has anybody ran into this issue, or have fitted these themselves?

I have the same thing, but I installed them myself. Biggest problem is modifying the mirror switch on the drivers door. I have an earlier RAV4 ('21) that did not come from the factory with a lighted switch, but rather I changed the switch for a lighted one (Camry I believe), I just left off that part. Very seldom do I need to fold the mirrors in when the car is on (I don't take my car to car washes any more since the last time the rotating brushes tried to rip off my outside mirrors).

Do you still have custom car radio shops? Guys who do boom-cars for un-technical owners? Strangely there are TWO in my neck of the woods. One was always car-stereo upgrades and remote-start (popular in Maine), the other is a long-time truck logo painter who also installs fancy electronics. They won't advertise power mirrors, but it's just nut-drivers and wiring, they can do it.

The only thing I can think of voiding a warranty if it is wired wrong and causes an electrical gremlin.
I even had that happen, and even that didn't void warranty.

Back story: the early CarTrimHome folding mirror kit had wires that ran from the doors to the controller under the dash (the latest version is wireless). Seems the wires were easily abraded passing the door stop mechanism. Mine got grounded and blew a fuse. Couldn't figure out the problem on my own, so took to dealer for diagnosis. Cost me $175 diagnostic fee, but problem found and solved, and warranty is still intact.

So, if an add on causes a problem, you will have to pay to solve the problem. Otherwise, Toyota will pay for problems not related to customer add ons.
