Just purchased a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Limited. The instrument cluster is so dim during daytime I can barely read anything in the display. Yes I have the adjustment set on max brightness. Is there any other way to increase the brightness of this display?
I recently bought the 2024 RAV4 XLe and the lights on the dash are so damn I can’t see anything during the daytime I don’t drive at night but I thought I would go out and see what it look like and it lights up like a Christmas tree at night all the instruments Light up but in the daytime when I drive and that poses a problem so I went to the dealership and they didn’t have an answer for me there they just said that’s the way that they’re made which I don’t like that I don’t know what else to do this can’t see it in the daytime I think it’s the road hazard if anybody has a solution to this let me knowJust purchased a 2024 Rav4 Limited. Be sure the instrument light intensity is turned up to the top. That control is on the dash to the left of the steering wheel.if anybody has a solution to this let me know
I just bought a 2024 RAV4, XLe, and and there is a dip on the top of my dashboard right behind the screen display. Does anybody else have a dip in there dashboard I think it looks terrible, but I took it to the shop Toyota shop and they said that’s the way they are. I really don’t like that. I think it’s cheaper Toyota to fix that like that, I don’t like that it makes the car look cheap that is a $30,000 vehicle. You think that Toyota could do better and the cluster lights are too dim during the day. Toyota could’ve made that better too by putting in a bulb. Does anybody else have this problem? Check your dash and see if you have a dip in it like I have in mine
My RAV4 2024 is the same way. The cluster lights are so dim in the daytime. You can barely see them. There’s nothing that they would do for you at the dealership. I’ve already tried. That’s the way they come and that’s what you’re stuck with stuck with mine too don’t know what to do. I might go to a mechanic here in town and see if he can do anything which I’m sure will cost a little bit of money to do that but it’s worth a tryJust purchased a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Limited. Have you adjusted the instrument illumination control? That’s the way they come and that’s what you’re stuck with stuck with mine too don’t know what to do.
We know about the wheel but it doesn’t resolve the problem. Still too dim.You have a wheel in the buttons cluster to the left and below the steering wheel. Play with that to see its effect.
Not sure what you are describing as "a dip".
Did you find a solution to this? I have the same problem.Already have it there. I think i will go back to dealership and have salesman show me another new rav4 and see if dash is as dim.
Raise the voltage from 12 to about 15 or 16? I had the same problem with my Miata and the auto shop discovered that our battery was only putting out 8 volts. A new 12 volt battery improved the dashboard brightness a lot! "Back to normal" Nice!Just purchased a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Limited. You cannot change the voltage in the Prime; there is no alternator in the Prime/hybrid, besides the 12 volt charging is dynamic to extend the battery life.On our 2023 Rav4 Prime I am having the same problem, very dim dashboard - too dark in direct sunlight. ... the battery seems fine, so I am wondering about a way to raise the voltage to something like a constant 15 or 16 volts. ...
