I'm looking to tap into the rear speakers to install an amplifier and add a subwoofer. I currently have tapped into the JBL subwoofer in the back, but it has a very aggressive signal degradation of bass is playing for a while. So the voltage on my amp drops from 32v down to 5.8v over the course of a few seconds.

So, I'm hoping tapping into the rear speakers will prevent this from happening. I can't seem to find which wires are for what on those rear speakers though. Does anyone have info about this?

I found some info on this and hooked it up tonight. For anyone wondering:

Driver's side Rear Speaker Wire: Pink w/ White Stripe (+), Pink w/ Mint Green stripe (-)

Passenger side Rear Speaker Wire: Off White w/ Mint Green Stripe (+), Off White w/ Red Stripe (-)

* The pink on the driver's side is a very muted/off looking pink color.

Nah, sorry.

It's mostly straight forward though. Battery is in the rear passenger side. Pulling panels is just like in any other car. If you've ever installed an amp before, it won't be too bad. Just don't tap into the rear sub cause the signal degradation and crossover on it are really aggressive

The question I would have is where to all the speaker wires come together to a place where you can tap or re route to
the to the Trunk. I would assume you would want to do that at the Radio/Nav connector. Then you have to make a Harness to get those signals back to the Trunk and or to where you would mount the amp.
I am assuming there is no Amp for the Primary speakers or is there one?

If the voltage is dropping on your amp its either not matched for speakers out's or
The voltage/current that powers it is not enough . Is it overheating is it in a spot
where it get's ventilation. Maybe the amp is bad.
Did you use large enough power cable's to the amp so its not power limited due
to tiny power wires?

When I was installing my setup I did a Front/Rear test and RTA'd it....

I replaced my front speakers with JBL GTO600C components.
Then I sent the front speaker signal there and RTA'd it, and then I sent the rear-speaker signal to the same speakers and RTA'd it.
Also did an overlay to show you the difference...

Thanks for the tip! What's the range on what the front door speakers run at opposed to the rear speakers? I'm runnin an RCA converter into a 600w Kenwood amp which powers an 800w 8" JBL component sub so it's nothing ground shaking as is.

Is the rear speaker you are talking about is the speaker in the back door? I have a 2010 rav4 and trying to put a powered sub in and need to tap into the back speaker wires and can’t figure out which ones to tap into

Hey Noah! I wound up tapping into the rear speakers from the leads running to the head unit, located under the front door frame panels that pop out pretty easily on the floor. It's a pretty big wire bundle so if you go to crutchfield.com and speak with their customer service team, they'll be able to tell you exactly what wires to tap into in that bundle.

Hey - if you have the base system - the rear speakers are factory high-passed at 250hz - meaning you are missing out on a TON of bass using the rear speaker signal. I highly recommend tapping the front speakers instead!

I did tapped signal from the rear speaker for my Sony under the seat active subwoofer and I cant hardly hear the base from it unless I turn the gain control to the max. I could not hear low signal from it. I have 2021 Rav4 base non JBL system.

I literally had a guy reply to me on a facebook post about this and how much better it sounds after he moved it to the front speakers for input, give it a try - I assure you it will sound 10x better.
