Hi,
I've tried searching the forum and I'm not finding anything that explains this. I'm trying to help a friend with the brakes on her 2017 RAV4. It's an LE with the 2.5L 4-cyl, AWD, and 6-speed auto.
I've put her VIN into autoparts.toyota.com and no less than five distinct part numbers are shown, and all say "Exact Fit for your 2017 RAV4"! 04465-AZ314, 04465-AZ217, 04465-0R010, 04465-0R031, and 04465-42200.
I thought that 04465-0R031 was the correct part number. However, these pads won't fit. Thepad itself backing plate seems to be about 1/8" too long, compared to the stock pads. The new pads are marked ADVICS PV565H-FC, which I believe is correct, so it's not like the wrong pads were put into the right box.
How do you know which brake pad applies to this vehicle?
Edit: The VIN begins with 2T, so as I understand it, it was built in Canada.
