I bought a new 2025 RAV4 XLE Hybrid, and it came with the Paint Protection Film: Hood & Door Package which includes coverage where applicable on: Hood, Mirror Backs, Door Cups, Door Edges, and Rear Bumper.

I'm able to locate the paint protection film for all of them except for the rear bumper.

Does anyone know where that paint protection film for the rear bumper was applied?

As it is named paint protection film and not bumper protector, it should be the 3M Pro series clear PPF done by dealership. It should be on the body coloured areas and if you have the silver painted lower bumper, on that as well.

No one ever puts PPF on the rear bumper cover because it is not needed there. Rocks don't hit the rear. That is why PPF is put on forward facing areas, even the "front" of the outside rear view mirrors.

For that reason, it appeared to me that what the OP said was on the rear bumper must be the factory accessory I cited.

I put PPF on the lower painted silver area on our Limiteds as we have a lot of parratlle parking spots in my area and people cannot drive. They scrape the paint of the front and rear corners of your vehicle as their manoeuvre in their spot then drive ahead when in their spot and rear end you with the imprint of their licence plate bolts in your rear bumper!

I have a 2022 and it does not have the clear protection package. I installed the Weathertech rear bumper protector. It was easy and looks like it was an oem applicaton.

BumperTopper - Custom Fit Rear Bumper Guard | WeatherTech

The Weathertech I believe it will be more durable. I had a similar on my 2011 Equinox and after 10 plus years still looked like new.
