Yesterday with 5 minutes to kill , reclined the seat in the RAV, and I was surprized to see an openning under the steering wheel. I put my hand in it and was surprised to find it was a storage compartment. (':lol:')

Wow, I just ran outside to see what you were talking about. I thought you were referring to the little bin on the left. I thought I knew the car pretty well. Great find! I love finding new things in a car. They REALLY designed the car to utilize every inch very well. What would you put there though?

After reading this, I was sure, that this compartmend does not exist in the european version. But 5 minutes ago I visited my RAV and looked for this compartment and ... it is there!ronbo1313 said:

To answer TheWorkMule "what would you keep there?" pen, notebook, tire guage, maps, etc. I had the vehicle 8 months and I never knew the compartment was there. The shallow compartment in the back under the floor mat, I quess it's there for a fold-up triangle trouble sign. I keep my California Water Blade in it.('')

What? you just found that out I have known about this little compartment from day 1, I was looking for the AC vents which had existed in my 4.1, only to find the nice little pocket, I too use it for the removable face plate, you can also put a pen or a flash light as mentioned earlier!
I am glad you found it though, very convenient.

I'd trade that tray for the above mentioned A/C vents that were in the 4.1 any day....... That vent was the greatest when wearing shorts on a hot humid day..................................................... :roll: :wink:
