I call my RAV "The General Tojo" I was kind of forced to buy a RAV after I blew up my Blazer and Bronco back to back in a 6 month time span. I was working 60 mikes from home and it was one of those important type jobs where you can't not show because of the weather. So I needed something AWD/4WD, great on gas and won't blow up. SO the logical thing to buy was an import and of course I bought the greatest, a RAV4. So since I am use to BIG American trucks and the RAV is kinda small for a 6'3'' guy like my self. My best friend said I needed a manly name for the RAV something like the General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard. So being the big Dukes fan that I am, I named it after the only Jap. Gen. I could think of at that time. My buddy tried to get me to paint a WWII era Japanese Flag on the roof to complete the package, maybe one of these days.

Great Topic, btw

"Red Pavement" - after the most horrifying driver's ed video ever.... *shudders*
or
"The Crimson Chin" - fictitious character on the Fairy Odd Parents, voiced by Jay Leno. He is a superhero with an excessively large chin

I call ours the "Buggie" most of the time - 126K miles worth. It is ours as what's mine is hers even though shes prefers to drive the Town & Country. But since the Buggie has the hitch, she loves it when it is time for the Garden Center or looking for antiques.

Admittedly, I have given the Buggie a few other names from time to time. But that changes once I get whatever is out of adjustment fixed.

Have to admit, this set of wheels is a top notch performer. It should be able to catch up to my other favorite, the Grand Voyager SE who is currently setting the pace at 167k miles.

My new RAV4 seems like a princess because of her pearly good looks, (IMHO). :) Neither my RAV4 nor I are prissy sorts, however, so my RAV needed to be a tough type of princess. What type of princess could be tougher than a Warrior Princess? Hence, she is . . . Xena, the Warrior Princess. Cheers! Snocat

Der KĂĽbelwagen.

Because, honestly, it resembles the original in operation, simplicity, and reliability so much. Who doesn't want to call their trucklet a "Bucket Car" ?

KBLWGN is going on the plates as soon as I get the money, PZKPFW is already owned by a slate grey Nissan Titan that rolls around town. :p

Well we have 2, the wife has a bright green 4.1 3 door that she calls RANDY. I have a mica grey 4.2 5 door and he is very refined, so i call him REMMINTON RAV (grey, refined, remminton steel, ) Made sense to me!!! And i think RAV means Residential Attack Vehicle.

Hmmmmm....maybe I'll mount a mini-gun on the roof rack tied to a motion-sensing security system. Nobody will park next to me at the mall any more. It will become my Roving Assault Vehicle. Yeah, that's the ticket.

"YOU ARE PARKED IN A RESTRICTED ZONE. PLEASE MOVE YOUR VEHICLE TO A SAFE DISTANCE. YOU HAVE 30 SECONDS TO COMPLY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!"

Junebug, they dare park next to yourRAV4? Maybe Xena needs to "borrow" your motion activated mini gun for awhile. I am still the nervous parker , but made it through another weekend of parking in crowded parking lots without a ding. My friends suggest that I bubblewrap Xena. Cheers. Snocat

the previous owner used to call it a go cart, I can see why its a 2 door (short wheel base) and has good get up and go.

Most times its my friends that name my cars. One car I had was a supra with a leaking heater core "THE FISH ". even after it was fixed the name stayed. I wonder what kind of name will arise for the RAV?

My Acura I called the Cat. It was/is black and has not stopped, even from dear hit, hail damage, timing belts, and the abuse i put it through as my first car. Pretty sure it has nine lives.

My Rav4 I call "The Slug", reason: Its black, very slow, but sticks to the ground, and can climb anything like crazy.

I'll go ahead and post in this thread, since I forgot to look and started a new thread; DUH!
My 2009 is named Bender, after the robot from Futurama. No particular reason, I just happen to love Bender Bending Rodriguez, so I figured I would name my RAV after him.
Look at my avatar, and you'll see what i mean.
Speaking of "Avatar", I'm waiting to see if anyone names a blue RAV Jakesully, after the hero of the movie.

Our 4.2 was "The RAV". Our 4.3 is "The Truck" as our insurance company classifies it as a Toyota truck.
My Grandson calls our 2010 RAV "the Blue RAV" so I guess that's its name.

I name ALL my cars (and they're all female, except for Jeep).

1) '87 BMW 325i convertible = Ami
2) '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee = Jeep (you can't name a Jeep. It's Jeep!)
3) '01 Rav4 = Melissa
4) '07 Solara = Jennifer
5) '07 Rav4 = Cristina
6) '07 ES 350 = Linda
7) '10 Rav4 = Carmen
