how to remove the climate control panel?

Check the posts concerning OEM 2DIN radio installations, some have installation pictures also showing you how to remove the AC control unit.
In words for the RAV 4.3 (2006-2011):
Remove left and right panel next to the radio in which the big round [4x4] and [Warning Blink] knobs are located. The panels are clamped with plastic pins in to the dash, so remove with some strenght and start below, but take care.
Behind the two panels you will see 2 pair of black screws left and right next to the radio. Remove them. Then you can pull back the A/C control unit with some strenght, but again, take care. And watch the connector and wiring behind the A/C control.

It looks like that radio util should be removed before heater panel.
