01 RAV codes P0100 and P0505 replaced MAF sensor and Idle Control and a vacuum line. Engine starts and idles fine as it warms idle becomes erratic(lopes) and then steadily drops to stall.

Really don't know what else to do ..anyone have any ideas..

Thanks for any help or suggestions

I'm sorry this is happening to your Rav4. Try this, if you haven't yet: disconnect the battery for 10 or 15 minutes -- some Toyotas (Prius, Echo especially) need an ECU re-learn after replacing these components. While the battery is disconnected, check the other engine grounds, especially the ground that's visible from the block, just under the valve cover, to the chassis, on the passenger side. Remove that ground and clean both ends with sand paper, then fasten it back tightly in place (replace the bolts if they are very corroded).

If that doesn't do it, double-check that your battery terminals are clean and fastened tightly to the posts. Closely inspect the entire lengths of the wiring harnesses for both the MAF sensor and the IAC valve -- replace them if there are any issues, as shorts or even corrosion causing too much resistance can cause this problem.

In addition to what you have already replaced, the '01 FSM lists the ECU as a possible causes for both of those codes (P0100, P0505), though it is rare cause. Do you have access to another ECU that you could swap in to test (ie, do you know anyone else with your same '01 transmission)? If not, but if you know how to use a multimeter, I can PM you the instructions for testing your ECU's voltage to each of these components.

Lastly, the P0505 code has a A/C system short listed as a possible cause. Do you have any reason to believe this might be the cause?
