My 97 rav popped out a 0133 code today.

Code translated to the O2 sensor before the catty is slow to respond.

Is there anything else I should look at, or is it automaticly a bad sensor? MY rav has 147K miles on it, but still want to double check before shellin out $115 on a sensor. Previous history is unknown

Thanks

Is any other code present?

If not, most likely it's just your O2 sensor.

You can try this before spending the cash on a new sensor:

Cleaned the slots, soaked the tip in the carb cleaner, torched it, sprayed again, torched, put it back, started the car -- the "check engine" light is gone. The car's running silky smooth.

Took it for a test drive (I love driving at night, and this was a good excuse ;). 30 minutes later, still no warning light.

Long live Saabnet! ;)

Well, the code went away after a few days.
FUnny thing is before this happened, it idled slightly rough, that is gone now too.

Gonna let it go till it happens again.

Could bad gas or something cause it? I did fill up just after it came on, could have flushed the system.....
