Received my 23 XLE premium on 2/23/23, it came with 2 key fobs. It was a 1/23 Japan build.

I emailed Toyota and they said they expect to start sending out letters to buyers sometime in the 2nd quarter of the year with instructions to go to a local dealer to get the missing key. If the cars being sold now are already coming with two keys, it looks like Toyota is focusing more on new buyers and not really giving a crap about those whose money they already have. IMO, they should start by getting those missing keys to people who never got one, then when they are all caught up with that they can start including two keys with the new shipments. But that's just me....

I’m hoping our new RAV4 Limited Hybrid which will be at the dealer in 21 days has 2 key fobs. Otherwise, “you won’t be driving the car too often,” my wife just said.

As you are probably aware, there have been supply shortages of electronic parts over that last couple of years. Key fobs were one of the casualties of these shortages. And not just for Toyotas. So to try to maximise the production levels of their cars, some auto makers decided to only supply one key fob on delivery instead of cutting vehicle production in half. They sent a letter explaining this and noting that when supply was back to 'Normal', they would supply the second fob at no cost.

I got two key fobs with my 2023 RAV4 Hybrid delivered on 3/20/23. I asked the salesperson in a text if I’d get two key fobs before delivery. She wasn’t sure but might have made sure I got two. Great salesperson all around as it was a great purchase experience.

Picked up 2023 RAV4 Hybrid, XLE Premium in southern Indiana (from Kentucky plant) on May 6th. I asked the key fob question over the phone before picking it up, sales rep wasn't sure until he checked, but were two key fobs with it.

I still have not received my new Rav 4. It was delivered to port in California on 11/25 and still has not been processed. The dealer does not know what the delay in processing is so it could be delivered to dealer. Still waiting and getting tired of the lack of any processing and delivery 😡. A Mazda sales person said that Toyota is only giving 1 key fob on the new vehicles sold. If that is true we are paying allot more fur the vehicle including dealer mark up and getting less..only 1 key fob. Just checking in to see if that’s the new norm when buying a new Toyota 🫢

I've been waiting since November for a second fob for my Rav 4, very disappointed in Toyota and Toyota Canada customer service for extremely laissez faire attitude. I Currently own two new Toyota's, maybe it's time to shop around???? Rav 4 owners in Canada someone else has your second fob, Step up to the plate Toyota and start telling buyers we can only give you one fob because we want to use the second fob to sell a new vehicle.
