Since both the '89 Celica GT and the '99 RAV4 have 3SFE engines, does anyone know if the intake manifold and throttle body from the older '89 Celica GT 3SFE is larger internally, ie runner volume higher, and does the throttle body have a larger internal diameter, which would also let it move a larger volume of air. In other words, could installing these items on a RAV4 be done? And, if so, would there be any advantage or are they incompatible due to the electronics, ECU, throttle position sensor, air fuel sensor, etc? Basically, I want to add a higher performance intake manifold and larger throttle body without spending an arm and a leg. Any information on doing this would be greatly appreciated.
