To time the engine just loosen the screw on the bottom of the ignition. Place the light on the #1 piston, and get power from the battery. Watch the flashing light as it illuminates and tell you how many degrees the engine has. This is pointed at the front damper. [where all the A/C, Alt, and water pump belt is] The OEM is 8 degrees. It also says to do something with the SST, Te1, E1, and DLC1. But that is a different ball game. I'm not very good at dealing with the electrical system on my RAV4. So I'm letting Sammy deal with that. He is going to do this next week. I'll let you know what he did.
