If I have the clutch replaced would it also be good to replace the rack and pinion at same time? In other words is it possible to get a fair deal from the shop...SInce dropping the engine I think changing the rack at the same time would make it easier :nerd

I'm sure you could negotiate something in the deal, yet I suspect there would also have to be a front-end alignment (outer tie-rod ends?). I suspect you could negotiate them to drop 40% of the shot-rate standard-hours if it doesn't have to come out, and 80% if it does. And it never hurts asking.
