My 1998 RAV's steering wheel has begun squeaking sometimes when I turn. I took it to the dealer and they said they lubed it up, however, when I turn it at certain points it still squeaks. It's squeaking right where the wheel is attached to the column, nowhere else.

Is this is job for WD40 or is something more needed? I don't see any obvious rubbing.

This is a long shot, but as I was tightening a loose dash screw the other day I noticed that the two screws on my steering column (which can be seen when you turn the steering wheel) had become loose on my Rav as well. Perhaps these are loose on yours and perhaps tightening them will stop the sqeaking?
