Had the 32k km service done today - rotate tires, change oil, brake service & replace cabin air filter. Good for another year (except for an oil change). They also replaced the roof moulding that had come loose. Looks like it's held on with just 2-way tape.

Canadian 32000Km(20k miles) isn't the same as US service, Canadian requires brake service(removing calipers, rotors, drums for inspection and measurement according to the Canadian maintenance schedule. https://www.toyota.ca/toyota/en/my-toyota/maintenance-menu

20k mile US maintenance only requires inspection of brake components.

Brake service, was it just a check to see if pads are OK, or did they do something?
Here's what the work order says:
Replace oil & filter
Check driver's floor mat
Inspect cabin & engine air filters
Inspect wiper blades
Confirm lights, horn & wipers function properly
Inspect & adjust all fluid levels
Perform 12v battery service
Inspect drive belts, adjust if req'd
Inspect steering gear, linkage and shock absorbers for looseness, damage or leakage
Inspect ball joints & dust covers for looseness & damage
Inspect fuel system for leaks or damage
Inspect exhaust system for leaks or damage
Inspect and measure brake pad thickness
Inspect brake caliper and rotor condition
Rotate tires, Check & adjust pressures
Road test

The 4 wheel brake service was extra & included:
Remove front brake pads - sand, clean & lubricate. Lube sliders.
Clean/lube/adjust rear shoes or pads.

So if you do your own repairs, you still have to go the repair place to get certified? Then you can do the work yourself if it failed? Then do you have to go back to get re-certified, or will the brake pad and rotors receipts be fine? What does an inspection cost is US dollars?
