Whenever our 2009 RAV 4 is turned off and left setting for (30) minutes or longer when started there is a loud clatter for about a second. If you shut it off and restart it in (5) minutes or less no clatter. Using 5W-30 oil. Any input would be appreciated.
Thx

From what I've read this has something to do with the timing chain and oil draining completely into the oil pan after it sits for so long. I've got the same issue and I've looked into it before, but I didn't bookmark the info so I'm trying to locate it again. It's on these forums somewhere.
