My 2013 Rav4 just started exhibiting this shudder issue. I have less than 98K miles, but it went into service at the end of 2013. The Warranty extension for this issue states 8 years or 150K miles whichever is first.
I think since this is a known issue and basically Toyota sold me a defective transmission that had this problem, they should be liable for fixing this. I called Toyota and they are saying they are very strict on these extension date limits because they don't consider it a safety issue.
Has anyone been able to have Toyota extend this warranty extension past the 8 years from date of service?
