2014 RAV4 LE Left low beam headlamp not burning

My rav 4 left low beam went out. I checked the fuse it was good so went to parts store and bought a new bulb. Still no low beam so I took my meter and check for voltage and all I have is a pulsating mv. When I turn the DRL on there is 12 volts there. Right side works normal and both high beams work. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi David , sounds to me to be a blown relay that controls the left low beam , if not the issue use a test light to check got 12v Pixies at the relay socket ... good luck friend....
Moved to 4.4 for more help.

Thanks I’ll try that!
Sounds like a bad ground, I would check positive voltage to a good known ground or even check it by using the negative pole of your battery. If you get voltage then, means the ground is no good

Agreed! Grounds so often get overlooked but are just as important in completing a circuit as the "hot" side.
Also the 12V at the low beam with DRLs on doesn't make sense since AFAIK the DRLs use the high beams.

My daughter had the same problem. She carried it to the shop and they said it requires a special bulb and that solved the problem also i cant see how it works because i could not get 12 volts to the lamp socket.
