Hi All,
I had my 2013 RAV4 in for an oil change today and the courtesy vehicle showed up at my office to bring me back to the dealer. It was a RAV4 and upon entering I noticed something was different with the interior. After looking around i realized there was a redesigned Navigation unit, turns out it was a 2014 RAV4 XLE that I was riding in.
The button layout was different. There is a Home button and when pressed it brings you to a multi window screen which features your GPS map on the right half of the display while the left half is split into two parts featuring your Bluetooth connected phone controls and the second part being Audio controls. The Setup button at the top right is now the Phone button and Settings is now an on-screen button.
The Apps button was removed and a cover was placed instead which featured a Micro-SD card slot underneath which I believe housed the GPS map data. When I got the dealer, I found out it was the service managers car and he didn't even know there was a difference in the units.
Did anyone else get a chance to take a look at a 2014 RAV4 yet? I didn't get a chance to give the whole thing a once-over to see what else had changed. It's kind of weird that it got a facelift after only being in production for less than a year. I should have snapped a pic but was in a hurry and didn't think of it. Thoughts?
