2016 RAV4 LE Day Running Lights

Hello,

We imported RAV4 from Canada to Europe with a frontal damage, therefore it needed some fixing, but nothing major.

Anyways, the problem is that when I start up the car the lights turn on automatically with position being DRL on the stalk, but the dashboard doesn't light up which is super annoying, because I have to turn the stalk manually every time I get into/off the car.

Is this "feature" made by design or is it a fault made by the people who were fixing a car back here?

If it's not clear what I mean by this post, tell me and I'll try my best to formulate it differently. 😀

When it is daylight the DRL lights come on and do not light the dashboard light. When the sensor senses darkness and the stalk is in DRL the headlight indicator on the dash will then come on as do the headlights.

2016 LE do not have the “auto” feature for the headlights. There are 4 positions on the LE stalk..OFF DRL Parking Lights and ON. If you have the switch in DRL, the low beams will act as your daytime running lights, you have to manually turn on headlights at dusk, hope that helps
