We just bought a 2017 LE and have not been under it up-close and personal yet. Took it for rustproofing and when I got it back, I noticed some of the famous Toyota panel retainer push pins in the driver's door map pocket. I am positive they were not there before. I am wondering if the 2017 has the shield panel that goes under the engine compartment like our 2011 has. If so, it may indicate that they removed the panel for rustproofing and never put it back. Can anyone advise if this panel is supposed to be under there? Thanks!
Brad

Not under the engine. At least not on my 17 le. There is a panel under the front fascia and a plastic panel under the gas tank, that is all.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I did get under there...getting old so this is a major effort at my age... and there is a panel in place under the front bumper area and one in the fuel tank area.

I wonder what they could have taken off and forgotten to put back on?
I'll have to call them tomorrow when they are open and see what they have to say.
They did mention they accessed the rocker area through holes already in the frame/body. Wonder if these push pins were just covering holes from the factory???
Thanks again for the replies. They are much appreciated!
